01Who we are
Shivam Pathology Laboratory is a diagnostic pathology laboratory at F-19/20, First Floor, City Centre Complex, Opp. Hotel Janpath, Radhanpur Char Rasta, Mehsana - 384002, operating under the supervision of Dr. Sandip P. Patel, M.B.B.S., D.C.P., Consultant Pathologist (Reg. No. G-18864).
This policy explains what we do with your information, both at the laboratory and on this website (shivamlab.com). We are the data fiduciary for that information under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
02What this website collects
Very little, and it is worth being specific, because most websites collect far more than this one does.
- No accounts, no logins, no cookies set by us. This site does not place a single cookie of its own.
- No analytics and no advertising trackers. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, and no third-party tracking script anywhere on this site.
- The booking form does not send anything to a server. What you type into the home-collection form stays in your browser. Pressing send opens WhatsApp with the message already written out — nothing is stored by this website at any point.
- The check-up finder runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are never transmitted or recorded.
03Third parties this site touches
Three services are involved in running the site. Each has its own privacy policy, and we would rather name them than leave you guessing.
| Service | When it applies | What it may receive |
|---|---|---|
| Vercel (hosting) | Every page you open | Standard server logs: IP address, browser type, page requested, timestamp |
| WhatsApp / Meta | Only if you tap a WhatsApp button | Your WhatsApp number and the message you choose to send |
| Google Maps | Only on the Contact page, where a map is embedded | Your IP address; Google may set its own cookies |
We do not control what those companies do with that data. If you would rather avoid them entirely, call the lab on 77790 16101 instead.
04What the laboratory collects
When you book or give a sample, we collect what is clinically and legally necessary to produce a valid report:
- Name, age, sex and contact details
- The name of your referring doctor, where there is one
- Relevant clinical history, where it affects interpretation
- Your address, if you book home sample collection
- The samples themselves, and the results produced from them
This is health data, and Indian law treats it as sensitive. We treat it that way too.
05How we use it
- To perform the tests you asked for and to produce and deliver your report
- To send the report to you by WhatsApp or email, where you have asked us to
- To share the report with your referring doctor, where there is one
- To contact you about your appointment, your sample, or a result needing attention
- To meet record-keeping obligations that apply to a pathology laboratory
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers, insurers or marketing companies, and we do not use it to send you promotional messages you did not ask for.
07How long we keep it
Reports and the records supporting them are retained for at least 3 years. Histopathology slides and blocks are retained as long as required by applicable pathology practice guidelines. After that, records are securely destroyed.
08How we protect it
- Samples are barcoded at the point of collection and tracked through the laboratory
- Reports are released only after review and signature by our consultant pathologist
- Access to records is limited to laboratory staff who need it to do their work
- This website is served over HTTPS end to end
No system is perfect. If we ever become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as the DPDP Act requires.
09Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask us to:
- Tell you what personal data we hold about you and what we have done with it
- Correct anything inaccurate or incomplete
- Erase data we no longer need to keep
- Withdraw a consent you previously gave
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights if you are unable to
Ask by phone on 77790 16101 or by email at shivamlabmehsana2013@gmail.com. We may need to confirm your identity before releasing health information — that protection is for your benefit.
10Grievances
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, contact Dr. Sandip P. Patel, Consultant Pathologist, Shivam Pathology Laboratory, at shivamlabmehsana2013@gmail.com or 77790 16101. We aim to respond within a reasonable period.
If you remain dissatisfied, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.
11Children
Tests for a child under 18 are booked and collected by a parent or guardian, who provides consent and receives the report. This website is not directed at children.
12Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new date at the top. The current version is effective from 20 August 2026.
